Orders for the high-heeled Bandolino Berry, the heel that First Lady Michelle Obama loves to wear, have been soaring. This is excellent news for Reoblan Footwear Co Ltd, a shoe manufacturer based in southwest China’s Sichuan province. According to Reoblan export manager Chen Xiang, “Sales of Bandolino shoes increased rapidly after the US first lady wore them.” 
The manufacturer was given a three-month order for 200,000 pairs of the shoe in March, after producing and exporting only 500,000 pairs in all of 2008. And the increase in sales of Michelle Obama’s favorite heels are expected to continue.
