Peep Toe Heels at Nine West
I have not been a fan of the peep toe look much in the past, but the styles I am seeing as Fall approaches are making me rethink my views!
These Oskari Open Toe Sandal Booties at Nine West are an example of why I am becoming a fan of the open toe look. They feature a leather upper, open heel, high heel wedge and snap closure ankle wrap.
I have the Dark Grey Leather shown here, but these booties also come in Black Leather and a very cool Ivory Leather color as well. Chic style that can work in summer and into fall easily. Love these!
Fall Shoes Are Coming!!
I love Fall for several reasons, but one reason of course is the new line-ups of Fall shoes. I love warm colors, and I fell in love right away with these Palomino Pumps from Nine West. The brown suede is gorgeous, and the peep toes and ankle straps make these one of the cutest pairs of stylish pumps for Fall I’ve seen. The heels measure about 4 inches, and the platform about 1/2 inches. These ankle strap high heels also come in some other fabulous Fall colors: Medium Red, Dark Purple, Black Suede and Black Leather. I am so in love with the brown though….. yummy!
Celebrity Fashion No-No’s??
Ashley Green, who plays Alice Cullens in Twilight, wears leather shorts with her gladiator-style high heels.
What do you think? Leather shorts? And heels? Uh, I think not.
Interviews and Shoes
Do you have a favorite pair of shoes that you have to wear for job interviews? Or a “lucky” pair of high heels that you always wear to important meetings?
The general consensus when it comes to selecting the right shoes for job interviews is No Open Toe High Heels or Sandals.
Sandals are never good for interviews, and often not even after you get the job.
Stilettos are another no-no, as are the fancy glittery and otherwise embellished high heels. Save those sexy black stilletos for a night out celebrating AFTER you ace that interview!
Try to go for a sophisticated yet understated heel that is no higher than 3 inches. A solid basic color and closed toes are also your best bet. Of course where you are applying to get that job can make all the difference and change all of this advice.
So if you are applying at Vogue….never mind.
Taking Care of Your Feet
High Heels…I’m not going to give them up, no matter how achy my feet might get. I read an article today KnowaboutHealth.com that gives tips on taking care of your feet, and thought I’d share here for anyone looking for some Feet Centric TLC tips!
I had to laugh at one of the tips…Avoid wearing high heels or pointed toe shoes when doing activities such as mountain climbing and tracking. LOL. You think? Not that I do much hiking or tracking (!), but if I did, I don’t think I would be putting on my stilettos to do so.
But the rest of the tips are good–so go ahead and take a peek….and don’t forget to put sunscreen on your feet!
Red High Heels
Jessica Simpson knows how much women love the color red. These too hot red high heeled sandals from Simpson’s show line are deliciously daring.
The stiletto heel on these fabulous Amona High Heel Sandals by Jessica are 4 inches, with a 1 inch platform to boot. I love love the cherry red with the sexy cutouts, but if you are not so into red, these stilletos are also available in black.
The criss cross ankle strap just says sexy, period. Who would not want to be “The Lady in Red” wearing these wicked heels??
High Heel Designer Furniture
My daughter would love to have this in her bedroom, What do you think….love it or hate it? I found this high heel chair on eBay…. starting bid $174.99. Think she’ll have to settle for her bean bag chair.
