How To (Comfortably)Wear High Heels

If one of your New Year’s resolutions is to give up high heels, then this post will not interest you. However, if you are like me and cannot wait for the first opportunity 2011 brings to wear some sexy fun heels, then keep reading!

Glamour.com has a few tips (8, to be exact) their experts have shared on how to wear our high heels with a little more ease and comfort. Some I doubt will be to feasible every time I am wearing my best pumps, such as sitting down every 20 minutes. But I do agree that having a seat whenever the opportunity presents itself can be better than eating a decadent piece of chocolate cake, especially when wearing a pair of stilettos!!

Then there is the yoga tip. Apparently doing some yoga will do wonders for your balance. And good balance can be a very important when one wears heels. I have always toyed with the idea of taking a yoga class, so maybe this will be something to add to my new year’s resolutions.

And I love this tip from Camilla Morton, author of How to Walk in High Heels and A Year in High Heels. Camilla says to always test dive a new pair of fabulous high heels before wearing them to a special occasion. And the best place for a trial run? The supermarket! “Get a cart and go for a spin. As you stock up on groceries, use the cart for balance while your feet get used to the new high heel,” says Camilla.

Check out the other tips from the shoe experts at Glamour, and be sure to let us know what your high heel resolutions are for the new year!

To all ladies who have a shoe fetish like I do, you must visit this new site. Ladies, this is a website I could visit every day. It’s like a lunch time dessert. Every day this website posts a new shoe that’s very unique. It allows you to vote on each heel, either “in your closet”, which mean you would buy it or “leave on the shelf”, which mean you wouldn’t purchase it.
