Are Uggs Boots in Trouble?

So while browsing shoe news this morning, I came across an article that questioned whether or not Ugg boots have run their course.

Eek. No more Uggs? I do not think so.

But in all fairness, the love for everything Ugg has seemed to simmer down a bit. Do you agree? And the author of the article does point out that sales of the popular shoes are down 31%. She even mentions that the company has plans to slash prices of the shoes which admittedly carry high price tags (which no doubt would make Christmas shoppers happy.)

The boots have always seemed to divide shoe lovers…you either love em or hate em and think they are not worth the hefty price that comes along with them. There is no question that in their heyday, these were the trendy boot to have and just about every teenage girl wanted a pair. And of course, they spurred on designers to create countless similar styles, not to mention the counterfeit Uggs that hit the market as well.

They are such a classic in my mind that I hope the company can whether the storm and hang in there for a long time to come.
