What Women do for High Heels
How much do you love your high heels? Enough to go through surgery in order to wear them? Apparently some women do. Podiatrists are claiming that they are beginning to make big money off of women who have cosmetic foot surgery. (Yes, you read that correctly.) They shorten their toes. They remove bunions. They even get collagen injected into the heel of their worn down feet. And all this just to wear high heels again!
Now, I understand the love of high heels–my bulging closet proves it. I understand that feeling of confidence that comes while slipping on a pair of gorgeous Manolo Blahniks (okay, only in the store, but one day I will actually spend half a months rent on a pair). I understand how feminine and beautiful high heels make many of us feel. But, I am not sure I’d actually go through surgery to wear them. After all, most of them are completely uncomfortable and, if high heels destroyed my feet the first time around, why get surgery just so they can destroy them again?
…Of course, if I could finally afford those Manolo Blahniks, maybe it’d be worth it…

As a life-long high-heel fetishist, high-heel voyeur, passable crossdresser,
and lonly for other high-heel devotees to share high-heel experiences, it’s
my hope this comment gets the attention others to contact me. I work on my feet all day and can’t wait to get home to put on my five inch stiletto heels and feel the pleasure against my foot’s arch and occasional glimps in a mirror. All my overtime goes to my next custom pair(over 100 pr). even when pain hits my ankle or ball of foot, just the glimps into a mirror makes it all better. I have been looking for a high-heel friend who lives for high-heels and wears them EVERYWHERE! I just love them!
I live for high heels. High heels add sex appeal! They make you feel glamourous. I feel like all eyes are on me when I slip on a pair. And I have ran out of room to even add another pair of high heels to my collection. I am truly devoted to the pleasure high heels brings me…I love how they make me feel. And by me being only 5 feet tall, I look forward to putting on a pair. But to go as far as surgery? I think I would have to draw the line somewhere. There’s nothing wrong with slipping on a pair and feeling beautiful and sexy. And there’s nothing wrong with wanting to spice up a particular outfit even if it’s just to pose in the mirror with a new outfit you just bought (like I am known for doing). But understand, if you’ve reached a point to where high heels are no longer an option for you, and the physicians says no more heels, you should listen!
Now me…I am bad. I will go as far as taking a pair of my favorite paire of heels to bed with me, literally kicking my boyfriend out of the bed just to know I have them close to me…but I know what side my bread is buttered on, so I keep them close where I know I can easily get them. I even have them categorized in terms of what I wear them for and what I wear them with.
I try to buy shoes for all occassions. Going to the nightclub (Pleaser shoes USA - Chic 25, Maya Shoes, Maya Shoes USA, Hollywood, and Fredericks of Hollywood), going to dinner (Wild Diva and Steve Madden), going to a picnic (something simple, but cute from Fredericks of Hollywood), going to an elegant affair (Pierre Silber, Spiegels.com).
Occassionally I soak my feet in hot epsom salt water, and I massage them with this cream I make myself (you should try it. I already sold 100 jars of it…it’s made with Aloe Vera and cocoa nut oil). I put on a pair of good cotton socks after using my cream. The cream leaves my feet looking beautiful.
All in all, I keep comfortable shoes close by when I feel a twinge in my feet, a numbness in my toes, or when my legs start to ache which is only if I am attenting an event and I stand for long periods of time. But I would think that surgery can probably be avoided as long as us high heel lovers take care of our feet to keep continuing to enjoy the stilettos, strappy sandals, YvesSaintLaurent shoes and other styles for time to come.
Hi I am Austin, I am male (not gay), I love to wear high heels. Currently, I have several pairs of heels mostly 4 inch Stilettos; I also have two pairs of 5 inch Stilettos. Most of the men don’t realize that it is very difficult to walk in high heels and wearing high heels requires lot of practice and devotion. I’ve been wearing high heels for more than 10 years and I usually wear my 4 inch black leather Stiletto pumps with metal tip, I love the sound they make when I walk. I hope that in near future high heels will become fashion accessory for men.
