A Take on Heeling Therapy

Today, I broke down to revisit the object of my affection.

It had been almost eight months. It felt weird coming face-to-face

with my addiction. In my heyday, when my delusions of grandeur

convinced me that I was more of a public figure than Imelda Marcos,

I used to spend $2000 a month on shoes.

Neither, here nor there — it’s one of the reasons; my therapist recommended that I write on this blog.

But then I had an epiphany. When I compared the convoluted therapy

time to the complete comfort of a new pair of heels, tangible

outweighed the costly indifferent consultations with Dr. Brennan.

The ultra-smooth elevation was married to uncommon élan.

I admit that my OCD to high heels has been smoldering since last Summer.

While I LOVE the walking comfort of certain wedges ,

I absolutely abhor any heels engraved in girlish prints.

I prefer to see flowers and abstract designs on the wall — only.

Some of this season’s gauche fashion atrocities only make me adore

and honor the high heeled shoes that expose unadulterated sleek style.

For example, if you check out this shoe,

I bought it to play up jeans and play down a conservative suit.

But, for my daily errand jaunts, I could not resist these shoes. The key

to comfort can be found in both the heel and sole .

For those days when I just don’t give a !@#$%*, — I can always wear

my you don’t want to f-roli-ck with me heels.

As for Dr. Brennan, I can’t help but feel sorry for a doctor whose

services are as disposable as a pair of high heels.

I’m so glad that I did not go into the head case business.

Thanks for the link. You might want to link to the individual entry, because when I clicked your link, I realized I needed one more post in that category.

    Hi Ella-
Thanks for your feedback; but I don’t know what you mean by ‘need one more post in the category,’ would it be possible for you to explain what your mean???

    Thanks again,
    Holly

I like that perspective on it. I have to think about that and get back after I have had a chance to think about it more.

Got something to say?
