Wicked Witch and Blue Stripes
I don’t mean to be harsh but these look like something the Wick Witch would wear before the house lands on her.
If I tried I couldn’t even point out one thing that was wrong with these shoes. But I can point out several. The brown is awful and multi-color stripes should never be put on shoes.
The color is even put on the heels and shoes laces. Why? Would I wear these shoes? Only if you paid me…A lot. I however certainly wouldn’t pay the $163 that these shoes cost.
They are ironically called Abigail’s Party.
Paisley High Heels
These paisley heels have a very nice look although if you are not good in heels then you should probably skip these as the heels can wobble a bit. Learned from experience. I have a pair of these and enjoy them very much.
However if you will be standing, walking or dancing for long periods of time, it’s best that you skip these and go for something with a little less height.
Right now Zappos is having a huge special on free shipping on I think all shoes.
Note to self–don’t wear these on a long day!
They’re so stinkin’ cute–little black pumps with a white bow (okay not such a little heel, but really cute!) And now I am paying the price. After an extra-long day at work, it was far too much work trying to break these heels in. What I thought would be a manageable little pinch of the toe turned into a knee-hobbling limp (okay, not that bad but it seemed like it at nine o’clock as I was running around the showroom trying to finish up all of my work for the day.) Basically, I need to find some sticky notes and mark which shoes are suitable for long, rough days at work!
Obstacles With Heels
The Bridget Shuster Obstacle high heel shoes are a pair of unique beauties.
The sandal is spiced up with a funky charm and a sweet tan and silver color as well as a square front toe.
The leather straps on these 3″ wooden shoes circle the heel instead of your ankles and looks sexy doing so.
A definite must have for any collection but the only downside of it is the price of over $300.
Hey Girls High Heels Are Bad For Your Feet
Yes once again were being told this. High heels are bad for us and cause foot problems. Don’t worry, you weren’t the only one that was shocked to her core. You could have knocked me over with a feather when this news came out. I mean we only hear this every other week or so.
This week we are told that wearing high heels causes havoc on our balance as our body is thrown out of alignment. (You don’t say) You can also expect bunions, corns, hammertoes, and calluses. Everything you need for a foot salad. Also be prepared for heel and toe problems.
Yes another insightful article telling us were bad to wear high heels. Can’t wait to see what next week’s episode will say.
The Beauty of Pain
In a recent conversation with a boy that I find attractive on several levels we discussed the merits of high heels. He even listed them as one of his top ten addictions…and yet then questioned how women could wear them when they are so uncomfortable. This kind of thinking is curious to me as well. There is an extra confidence that comes to me when I am wearing a great pair of heels that seems to override a little pinching of the toe. Now, I will be the first to admit that I have kicked off a pair of uncomfortable sandals and walked barefoot through the city streets of Chicago at one in the morning–but the problem did not lie in the shoes themselves. Had I known that I would be walking more than ten blocks each way just to get to dinner, I never would have worn those particular sandals.
Perhaps that is the solution we must come to, a reworking of the communication system between men and women when it comes to our fabulous shoes. In a subtle, yet effective way, there must be a clear determination of exactly how practical the shoe must be in relation to its beauty. If we at least know what we are getting ourselves in to then we can make a better, more informed choice as to how much we are willing to “suffer” for our shoes. (And might just save the unfortunate destruction of a fantastic pair due to misuse or the simple disregard through frustration.) In return, we will continue to wear the gorgeous Italian heels and fabulous stilettos, both in and out of the bedroom…and you men will continue to appreciate the beauty of both us and our shoe.
Admitting it is half the battle…or so they say
Apparently it has now become a tradition for my mom and I to go shoe shopping when I go home to visit her. After a day or two, we get bored and then we head to the store, “just to look.” Because, I don’t like shoes. That’s what I’ve always said. Sure, I have a few pairs…but I don’t buy them. That’s what I’ve always said.
So, the last time I was home we were driving past a particularly favorite shoe warehouse of sorts that happens to be in almost every city and is known by its three initials (hint, hint) and decided to stop in. I was determined to get a pair of black heels. I practically ran up and down the aisles, delighted by so many of the fabulous creations I found. After picking out some cute low, black stiletto boots, sassy gold stilettos with buckle detailing and fabulous chocolate colored heels with red stitching, I finally turned to my mom and said, “I seriously don’t know how I say with a straight face that I don’t like shoes.”
Let’s be honest, I love shoes. There, I’ve said it. If you were to count how many pairs of shoes are in my closet (ahem, my two closets) it would probably be embarrassing. I’ve tried to deny it but I’ve given up the fight. Now I wear my shoe addiction like a badge and let it be known that, yes, I have a love for shoes.

These suede wedge heeled boots are on sale at HSN for $29.16 saving you $30.74. They have a rounded toe, buckle tap and stacked leather wedge heel which is over 3″ tall. Colors provided are black, pink and tan.
I have a pair similar to these in brown and I love the feel and fit of them. Shoes tend to be different depending on manufacturer so can’t say that these will be the same. But I do enjoy the pair that I own.

A Very Colorful Wedge

Since wedges have come back into style recently I have seen many different versions of this platform heel. However many of them seem to have an identical look when it comes to the wood heel of the shoe. This wedge however takes a step away from the ordinary with a cute and dazzling design.
It is available at Amazon for $37.99 and the color is a sleek bronze.
