From Frankenfeet to Beautiful Feet

Ok, so I see a lot of women who love to wear high heel sandals…including myself. The one thing I simply cannot stand is when women do not take care in making sure their feet are up to decent appearance before they strap on a pair and step out in public…Yuk! I mean, they expose their scaly, smelly, cracked, ashy, dry skin feet for the whole world to see, and what’s worse…they be dirty (excuse my English). My thing is, if they can afford to buy the sexy high heel sandals, one would think they would take the time to give their feet the tender loving care they need to be beutiful to properly set them off just right.

Now, if after reading this you conclude that you are among the guilty, check this out, there is hope for you. I happen make a fabulous cream (sold 100 jars of this stuff) that works wonders on the feet. What you do is scrub your feet really well while in the shower or while bathing, then use the cream on your feet, massaging it in thoroughly, throw on a pair of good (cotton) socks and let the healling process begin. You do this on a regular basis, and your feet will go from the beast of Frankenfeet to having sexy, attractive, beautiful feet in a matter of days if not minutes.

It’s called Body Sense and is made with aloe vera and other natural ingredients that I combine for a blend of silky pleasures. I say this because the summer is here and we are seeing plenty of feet this summer, sporting sexy high heel sandals with some of the most hottest ensembles. That being the case, spend a little on your feet. Get them beautiful so you don’t go scaring people to death. This cream does what vaseline, some lotions and other medicated creams, and cold creams wont do. And trust me, your feet will be happy you did.

If I could get through to a lot of women who deface high heel sandals by ignoring the attention their feet needs, I believe I’d make a world of difference to them.

Polka Dot Hotties!

I have been seeing polka dot shoes all over Los Angeles. I never wanted to get a pair until I saw the Chaz Patent Polka Dot Platform Sandal from JLo. Talk about sexy! Now, these are the Polka Dot Hotties of 2007 — being by far the best and baddest shoes I have ever seen in a polka dot style, especially by JLo (this coming from someone who said they’d never wear anything with a polka dot design). They come in black, red and brown. You can get them on the internet and at some Ross stores (that’s where I have seen them. I’d have a pair if I could find them in my size…size 7).

If you have never seen them, let me describe them to you…they are an open toe sandal with ankle strap. They have a leather upper, criss cross straps across vamp with roll leather straps filling in, rolled leather in alternating colors, there’s the solid background with white dotted pattern on the shoe. They come with a lightly padded footbed with leather overlay and “JLo” logo on the heel; finishing up with an open toe, smooth leather sole and a high heel that is approximately 4 1/2 inches. I found this description on the internet and is the best that describes the shoe beautifully. You can see the shoes on the Shoe Source Page of my web site to get an idea of what I am talking about. I hope to have other shoes posted on that page that I have had a chance to buy and preview.

Along with other new high heel styles that have hit the streets this Spring/Summer 2007, I believe these Polka Dot Hotties will sell big time because they are different, unique, elegant and once again are a shoe that adds sex appeal…as I am very big on. I will not buy a shoe that does not add sex appeal.

My birthday is coming up in August. I hope to have a pair of JLo’s shoes so I can show off at my 40th birthday party!

Platforms are Fun

I have become a platform shoe junkie! Having taken a closer look at how these shoes really step up an outfit, pushed me in to paying more attention to the many styles and designs on the market. This latest addition to my shoe collection is a brown platform sandal with a design embedded in the heel and along the sides of the shoes. So far I have found them in brown and black. The thin sexy heel gives them quite an edge over sex appeal, and can dress up a nice pair of capri pants or jeans, or a hot and sexy dress or skirt ensemble.

I like this style of shoes (and the black ones) in particular, because of the platform sole, they are easy to wear. Best thing about them, too, they are not pricy in cost. Starting at $28, these shoes are hot inexpensive shoes. Their level of classiness speaks volumes and are great for wearing on the night out. If you wear them to work, take great precaution because I would not recommend them for an 8-hour extended wear on the job unless you can handle baby sitting the heel and/or you do not work for a large company (like I do). Hard wear can ruin the heel (i.e., break it, snap the heel in two) by it being so thin. I know, I already had to replace the black ones.

Even still, they are gorgeous shoes and I have only been able to find them at one place.

Another pair of platforms I found are the chocolate brown pump and open toe pump. Made by Wild Diva, these shoes are a redesign of the Mary Jane shoe with their platform sole and stacked wood look heel. They hold a conservative appearance for the more modern day woman. These shoes can be best worn with a nice suit, slacks or a nice skirt ensemble — with or without nylons. For the open toes, I’d prefer no nylons. I think they are much more sexier without the nylons worn.

As an avid bargain hunter of the most stylish shoes in the Los Angeles and Hollywood area, these two pair of chocolate brown shoes were not expensive and were found in a store you would not think sold them.

These shoes are on the same path of shoe designers who have stepped up to the plate to make a bold statement in reintroducing old styles of shoes into the 21st century.

YSL Tribute the Hot Heel of Summer 2007

According to the New York Post, the “must have” shoe of the summer is the towering Yves Saint Laurent pump “Tribute.”

How high does it go? Five and a half inches. Ouch. (The front of the shoe does have a 1.5″ platform, though.)

This hooker-esque shoe is now being donned by many a Hollywood diva, and, as a result, is selling out in retail locations all over the place. (In London, there was a waiting list of 200 as of late April.) In fact, Tribute has proven to be so popular that many other YSL shoes (like Vichy, La Perle, Vera and Naked Kiss) now also come in a 5 1/2-inch option.

Of course, there are the downsides. These high heels come at an equally high price: about $660 (…and well over $1,000 if you’re going the eBay route). (Here’s a less expensive alternative, suggested by Batch Please.)

Also, there are the foot-cramping, ankle-twisting dangers that come with wearing heels of such precarious height. Kristopher Dukes even questions Tribute’s arch support.

But if you’re willing to ignore price and pain, Tribute is the shoe for you in 2007. It comes in two styles (Mary Jane and sling-back) and several colors (black, violet, green and red). It is also available at the slightly more tame height of 3.5″.
