40 and Still Sexy

Ok, this is for every woman turning 40 this year! Let me tell you, getting older doesn’t have to be how we, as older women, meet the days of old age. And it doesn’t mean we have to start putting away our shoes way in the back of our closet. Just because somebody points out the fact that “you’re getting old.” Face it, it aint over, til it’s over. With the many styles that are constantly hitting the streets, we can embrace our new age with gracefulness and a little sex appeal.

May I suggest Michael Antonio. If you recall in one of my last blogs, I had the opportunity of getting my little hands on his black and brown sequenced platform sandals. Very shiek, and very sexy. Well, in a mall at the Baldwin Plaza, they have them in platinum silver. At $49.99 you can’t find a better shoe than those. I think he made his mark in the shoe industry when he dazzled us with these very shoes that seem wow everyone when worn and worn correctly.

You don’t have to over-spend just to enjoy a nice pair of shoes, but there is nothing wrong with stepping out looking well worth every dollar spent. So, if in this year you hit 40, do it gracefully. Live your life to the fullest and enjoy your shoes as you have always done.     I just turned 40 in 2007. I feel great and I look great! I also applaud every woman entering this new season of life. I say enjoy a new pair of heels as often as possible. Look your best.     I am turning 40 on August 19. For me this is a new chapter in my life. And it makes me reflect on who I am, my overall appearance, and what makes me special. I love shoes as a way of having a need to look good as I move into this new phase. And as women, I feel we have to love ourselves regardless of our size. It’s what makes us unique in every way. And a woman who has a strong sense of confidence about herself is one who cannot be defeated. Looking our best is important, I think. And if a sexy pair of heels is what does it, then by all means…go for it. I wear a size 7 shoe. But I admire those women who wear bigger sizes, because they know how to strut their stuff, and look good doing it.

    I agree that Michael Antonio makes some very sexy and very reasonably prices shoes! I have several of his ultra-pointy toe 4″ stiletto heel pumps and LOVE every one of them!

    Andea, thanks for your comment. Yes, Michael Antonio (www.michaelantonio.com) does have some beautiful shoes. And I agree with you on the 4″ stiletto heel. I happen to have a pair myself…working myself on a couple more. But in all actuality, I prefer those high heels of 4 1/2″ only because of my height, and how they make my legs look. I especially like how he had created a huge variety of styles to go with any type of wardrobe. Next to Nine West and Yves Saint Laurent, it’s amazing how we can still get great looking shoes and at more than half the cost. Yet, I can’t deny that Michael Antonio has become my favorite with the black and chocolate brown platform high heel sandals I picked up, and wear with special care.
