Feet Hurt? Get “Pillows” Injected For Relief
This sounds a little extreme to me, but there is apparently a new procedure available to make wearing high heels more comfortable. You can get injections of Sculptra in your feet to puff up the bottom of your feet and make wearing heels more comfortable.
The procedure works by first numbing the foot and polylactic acid, which has safely been used for years in dissolvable stitches, is injected. A treatment usually lasts between eight months and a year. Although recovery is said to be immediate…walk in get it done and walk back out…doctors say it is important to massage the foot during the first 24 hours after the treatment. The procedure can costs about $1,000 per foot. Apparently this is also used by some athletes as well to help ease the pain they get from being active on their feet so much.
Ouch. I think that I would just find different shoes to wear that were comfortable for my feet before resorting to any injections. What do you think? Would you have this procedure done?
