Affordable High Heels For The Holidays
Feeling the pinch this Holiday Season? Most of us are it seems as economy woes looks like they have settled in for the yuletides. So I have done some shoe hunting to try and come up with inexpensive but stylish heels for Christmas and New Years and all the parties you may be checking out.

Simply Gorgeous High Heels
What else can be said about these beautiful sexy high heels by Stuart Weitzman? They are simply stunning and sexy. The pointed toe pump features stunning metal (or leather) 4 inch stiletto heels. The contours of this beautiful shoe are outstanding. Classic, stylish and oh so sexy. I am in love with these high heels, and maybe if I wish hard enough I’ll find them under my Christmas Tree! Now if I could just decide which I like better…the black or the red–aw heck, just send me both, ok Santa??
Love My Brit Gucci High Heels
I love to wear high heels and designer high heels are one of my favorites. However, I don’t normally spend money on high end high heels as I would like to. My budget simply can’t afford it. One of my favorite high heel designers is Gucci. I like a lot of the products that Gucci has.
For Mother’s Day, I was given the best present ever. I received a very expensive pair of Gucci high heel shoes. I got a pair of Brit Gucci ankle strap sandals. Wow, did I feel like I had hit the lottery. These are very expensive shoes. They even have the Gucci logo of the letter G on them so that everyone knows how lucky I was to get Gucci.
Jimmy Choo High Heel Shoes
Jimmy Choo high heel shoes are very classy stiletto heel high heels. These shoes can really make a difference in how your feet and your legs look. One of my favorite in the Jimmy Choo high heel shoe collection is the criss-crossed sandal in silver. It has a stiletto heel and looks absolutely stunning.
You can expect to pay a lot of money for Jimmy Choo high heel shoes. He’s a very classy designer that does heels, regular women’s shoes, sunglasses and designer hand bags. For example, the criss-crossed sandle by Jimmy Choo can cost you around $700 for a pair. They are in the high end heels and very designer heels for you to wear.
Sexy Stillettos Make Sure They Fit
Stilettos are probably one of the sexiest high heels that you can wear. They can look really great on a lady and dress up an outfit. When you select stilettos to wear, make certain that they fit.
I noticed a lady the other day at the mall that had stilettos that were way to small for her feet. Instead of making her feet sexy, they looked like they’d been shoved into her high heels. Shoving your feet into high heels not only hurts but it is painful for others to look at as well.
If you get a pair of sexy stilettos that fit right, they are easy to wear. You will be comfortable in them and give off an relaxed and sultry look. Believe me if you are walking around in high heels that don’t fit, everyone will know that you are uncomfortable if not in pain.
Choosing the Right High Heel Shoe Height
Today, you will find that high heel shoes come in many different heights, widths and styles. You can wear high heel shoes with casual outfits, office attire, parties and out for an evening on the town.
The best way to choose the right high heel shoe height is to consider the occasion for wearing the high heels. You want low high heel shoes for casual wear and for some office attire. You can go with the higher heels for party dresses. For an evening out on the town, it is best to wear medium high heel heights so that your feet don’t get tired but you still have the extended leg appearance benefit of the shoe.
The Gucci ’sevigny’ is different but retains classic lines
Normally I focus on the style of the shoe and not the color, but this shoe is so fantastic in all the colors all I can say is Gucci’s spring/summer ‘08 collection is killing me with beauty, clean lines, and so much sexy.
The ’sevigny’ high heel has an ankle strap and are classified (of course) as sandals for the lots of open foot as well as the open toe. It has a horsebit ring buckle detail and the heels themselves stand at an impressive, yet wearable, 4.1 inches.
The colors these come in are black leather (as shown on the model and only available on the website), black python, and (also pictured here) the light gold.
They also come in a light gold metallic color that is calling my name clear as a bell, let me tell you. The clean lines and doing a cuff in the front of the heel are daring and new, while still retaining a sense of classic style and simplicity.
These are shoes you could wear anywhere and while they would be noticed, they wouldn’t seem out of place.

Soften stilettos with ribbons and bows
Black stilettos are a classic that will never go out of style, they’re sexy and powerful. A woman wearing black stilettos feels amazing wearing them, like a queen with power and beauty at her disposal. But black stilettos can be a harsh fashion statement, bringing up thoughts of someone edgy and bitchy. Sometimes that’s fine, but what do you do if you want to wear your beautiful black stilettos…but want to give a softer impression than your black stilettos can give?
Enter ribbons and bows!
A bow on a shoe harkens back to adorable little girl shoes of youth. I’m not saying you want to look like a little girl to be attractive, but the black stiletto is so strong that a dash of innocence can balance that look. This shoe is a perfect example of making a black stiletto just a hint more feminine while still retaining all of the sexiness that black stilettos are known for.
Ribbons don’t necessarily soften the look, but they alter it ever so slightly. The thought of unwrapping a gift will drive your man wild when he sees these shoes on you. The ribbons make the shoe practically scream, “I’m dying to be untied and off of this leg!” Wear with caution, because when your date sees you in these shoes, he’s not going to be able to think of anything else. Don’t try discussion religion or politics, because he’ll just be picturing himself unwrapping your shoes.
The black stiletto will never go out of style, nor should it. But you can still have your black stiletto and change up how it makes you, and your date, feel with very little effort.
The Highest High Heels
The former champion of the high heel was a black 16cm heel by Christian Louboutin, tall and stately and beautiful. Sadly, it’s not the peak of the tall heels anymore. Dethroned by a towering 17cm (7 inch) platform stiletto (pictured). This gold and black high heel is more an artistic statement than a designer shoe, and it has fashionistas going nuts!
This is great for the petite girls. A 7-inch high heel can turn a 5′4″ lady into a 5′11″ candidate for the catwalk. Any woman can be tall. Of course, I’m 5′9″ barefoot, so this pair of heels will make me a solid 6′4″ amazon princess. Fine if I’m going out with a basketball player, but certainly not the best choice if I’m going out to dinner with my 5′10″ husband.
The popularity of these shoes, that won’t even be available until next month, is off the charts. There are waiting lists and people cannot get enough of the super-high heel.
True fashionistas are throwing caution to the wind and buying heels well into the 14-17cm range, towering on platforms and balancing like tightrope walkers. If you opt for a fasionable smaller-heeled alternative they’re known as a “selling” heel. A safer, lower version of the same heel that rocked the catwalk. A “selling” heel can be as low as 11cm. Still high, but not high enough for the fasion trendsetters.
Are you fashionista enough for 7″ of sexy, sultry, Louis Vuitton fashion? Or will you draw the line at 11cm “selling” heels that might be a little easier to walk in for those of you that actually need to walk places quickly. I’d hate to see someone rushing for a bus or a train in these heels.
Antonio Berardi Spring ‘08 Showstopper
In the Spring ‘08 collection of Antonio Berardi there was a bit of a surprise as a model walked down the catwalk in this heel-less heel.
For those of us who aren’t buying our heels at Nordstrom (at least not all the time) we are going to have to wait for these to hit the mainstream before buying. They are currently going for right around $1,100 - and being snatched up by stars like Uma Thurman.
While at first glance, these high heels might look impossible to walk in, if you think about the way your mother taught you to walk in heels (toe-heel vs. the clunking of heel-toe) you’re not really putting much pressure on your heel when you walk in high heels anyway.
These shoes are great for a date, or other activity where you won’t mind walking like a ballerina in toe shoes for a little bit, and the drama of the shoe is well worth the little bit of extra effort to keep your balance.
Just when you thought the high heel was becoming a classic that could not be redefined, the runway shows us you can have a high heel…without the heel.
