Reverse Heel Flats
Every woman has their own agenda in buying THE perfect pair of shoes or heels. But I guess a lot more women prefer to have really pretty high heeled shoes that is not so comfortable over flats that are just plain or boring. But what do you get when you combine “flats” and “heels”? You get the “Reverse Heel Flat” from Jil Sander. I didn’t think I could use the word “Heel” and “Flat” together in a same phrase that describes an object. But there it is!
Check it out for yourself if it really IS a Reverse Heel Flat. The name is so appropriate, it works! But only when there is a picture accompanying it. So what is the first thing that came to your mind when you saw the picture?
The first thing that came to my mind was “ouch!” how could you walk in that! It looks like something that you would need to practice with first before actually using it for a stroll in the park or shopping in the mall. It doesn’t look comfortable because there isn’t much support for your arch.
The Reverse Heel Flat costs $575 at Barneys New York. It is a python stamped sandal with an adjustable ankle strap. The “heel” measures 40mm and it is only available in Fuschia. So will you buy it? Personally, I won’t buy it because I don’t have that kind of money to burn on a sandal that I probably won’t wear even once. But if you’re rich and $575 is nothing to you, then I suggest you buy the Reverse Heel Flat just because it is innovative and it is unique. It is something that you can show to your friends. On the days that you are feeling adventurous, you might want to use it and have a feel of what it’s like to walk with Reverse Heel Flats!
