Inverted Heel Pumps

Why do people love to change something that already works?

Shoes are meant for walking. Hence, your shoes should be stable and sturdy so that you can actually walk in them. Of course, there are just those super high heels that would take time and practice before you can actually walk in them. But how about these Inverted Heel Pumps?

If you saw this pair of shoes from the front, you will just think that it is an ordinary pair of pumps. But if you looked at it from the back or from the side, you will see that it is very unique and weird. The first thing that came to my mind when I saw these was “Won’t you fall backward in those pumps?” I believe so. Just looking at it tells me that you will if you had leaned backward a slightly bit more than you should. It doesn’t look to be very stable.

This pair of pumps is created by Marc Jacobs. Obviously, this pair of pumps is usable and you won’t fall backward. Or else, they wouldn’t have sold it to the market. They even used Victoria “Posh Spice” Beckham for the inverted Heel Pumps’ advertisement!

Personally, I like to see cool new stuff being integrated into everyday things. However, this is something I would gladly not use because it will surely lower my confidence when I am walking in them. Just imagine having to always make sure that your steps are steady and sure or else you might fall backwards. You won’t be walking confidently that way!

    These shoes are definitely beautiful from the front, but if each step is life threatening then why bother.
