Men Are Inspiring The Fall Shoe Collections This Year (again)

oxford flats

We will be seeing the familiar menswear inspired shoes for women this Fall. I am not a huge fan overall of the oxford influenced shoe, but this Fall there seems there will be more variety at least.

Women will find flat oxford looking shoes and thankfully heels as well on their menswear inspired shoes. And the heels will add some flavor as well with the chunky look and the stiletto look mixing it up.chunky heel

Laces…you can have them or leave them. There are ample selections of both styles available for Fall.

What do you think about the strong menswear influence on womens’ shoes this Fall? Love it…Hate it…or just neutral on the look? boots

All shoes pictured here are from the Neiman Marcus Menswear Inspired Collection, btw. Guess which one is my favorite!

Men dress shoes are ugly, I should know. I don’t like wearing them so why should any woman want to wear a female version of ugly men-inspired dress shoes.

Women, I would suggest sticking with the stilettos, mules, t-straps, etc, but no man-heels or anything like that.

    Hello -

I am writing to you after speaking today with Jennifer from GrandMademoiselle.Blogspot. She encouraged me to be in touch with you and also to check out your shoe blog.

My partner and I have now launched http://www.ShoeMinx.com, http://www.thedailypump.com as sites to report on celebrity fashion and gossip as it pertains specifically to shoes and shoe fashion.

As you probably know, Google rewards sites that have strong and relevant link exchange with eachother and further rewards them by improving their Page Rank, driving more traffic via organic search. This type of network can really help a conjoined group of sites that are in a niche category
    - like ours: celebrity culture and shoes.

So we are now trying to build friendly relationships through simple link exchange with other shoe/celebrity sites and are amassing a network (under the name “Wedge Society”) of like-minded shoe-blog/shopping and celebrity portals. This will allow us all the benefit of sharing traffic, lead generation revenue and all grow together. There are numerous examples online of how a network of sites have commanded a higher CPM for advertisers, as well as combined traffic for contests and campaigns.

This is our goal here in bringing together as many partners as possible - though still ensuring only quality sites with similar branding and high-quality writing are included.

We have now reached out to a dozen or so sites with close to half confirmed for inclusion into Wedge Network. Jennifer from Grand Mademoiselle is our most recent proud addition.

If you have any ‘friends’ in this niche that you can suggest we contact, please let me know and we can forward a letter to them together.

Also, because of our relationship to http://www.ShoeCompare.com (the only online comparison shopping sites exclusively for shoes) we can help open a new revenue stream through a strong PPC relationship with the online shoe retailers.

I would love the chance to discuss this idea with you. Can we schedule a time to chat next week sometime??

    Kind regards,

    Josh
